Our cooking is based on traditional
home made Catalan food. We could define it as grandma’s
cooking, Cecilia being the original founder of the restaurant,
and today still supervises the quality as well as teaches everybody
who enters the kitchen.
Our specialities are:
“Escudella i carn d’olla”: traditional Catalan
country soup made exactly as it was done years ago. “Escudella” with
pasta and “carn d’olla” with meat balls, back
bones, shoulder, ears, snout, chicken, cabbage, chick peas, etc…
Beef
and wild mushroom stew: using beef from the area as well as the
best picked wild mushrooms cooked as it had always been done.
Pigs’ trotters:
different recipes according to season.
Casserole of rice: keeping
to the same traditional recipe used by our grandmothers.
A good
selection of salads with traditional products of the area, such
as cold meats and cheeses…
Grilling:
any kind of meat grilled with good side grilled vegetables dishes
and other products.
Desserts: we have a good selection of desserts,
starting with the traditional home made “Crema Catalana” (custard
with caramelised toping), cream of lemon, traditional cream caramel
made with egg, soft goat cheese with honey, ewe yoghurt…
